David Osborn Joins Nashville Medical Trade Center
Senior Advisor to be based in Nashville
DALLAS – August 12, 2009 – Market Center Management Company, the management company of leading trade centers and trade events around the world, today announced David Osborn has joined its leadership team as senior advisor, based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Osborn will be responsible for strategic development of the recently announced Nashville Medical Trade Center, which could open its doors as early as 2010 as the only trade center in the United States to service the rapidly changing product and training needs of the global health care community.
“David’s depth of understanding and breadth of experience in health care make him uniquely qualified for a senior position in Nashville,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO of Market Center Management Company. “He shares our vision for a unified international trade center offering a practical home for the productive exchange of products, services and ideas for health care.”
The 1.5 million square foot Nashville Medical Trade Center will feature three components: up to 1200 permanent manufacturer showrooms for healthcare product manufacturers, distributors, and information technology companies; more than 100,000 square feet of temporary trade show space; and conference facilities to accommodate a full schedule of education and training events each year.
Osborn joins industry veteran Bob Zandee, who has been an advisor on the project for more than 12 months.

Osborn transitions to MCMC from his previous position as founding executive director of The Health Care Solutions Group, a Nashville think tank he created to improve the health care system in the United States. The Group was a partnership between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville Health Care Council.
Prior to The Health Care Solutions Group, Osborn served as founding executive director of the Center for Better Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has also held leadership positions with KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint, Andersen Consulting, and Quorum Health Resources.
Osborn, who holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Tennessee, previously served on the faculties of Vanderbilt University Medical School and Abilene Christian University.
